ARROW OF DELIVERANCE MINISTRIES STORY

When Pastor Joseph M Nwunuji arrived in Takum 20th October 1996 as was instructed by the Lord, all he had was a bag. The young Pastor dream of planting a church that will seat five thousand true worshippers and that the church would be a place where the hurt, the depressed, the confused can find love, acceptance, help, hope, forgiveness and encouragement
In an encounter on the 27th August 1997, The Lord spoke to my heart “You Are My Arrow Of Deliverance born to win (2Kings 13:14-17, 1John 5:4) Hence the name coined “ARROW OF DELIVERANCE MINISTRIES aka VICTORY CHAPEL”. On18th October 1998 Arrow of Deliverance Ministries Takum held its very first public Service and five people showed up. God has continued to expand the church influence since then. To Him be praise forever. Amen.
Arrow of Deliverance Ministry Mandate
“It is time to liberate my people from the bondage of the enemies (darkness) Arise and go beginning from Jerusalem and to the end of the earth. Behold I set you this as my voice and light to build and to watch, fear not. I the Lord will stand by you to confirm my word in your life and ministry”. This was revealed on 9th September 1996.
Our Vision: A guiding light to those in darkness,” To give light to them that sit in Darkness” (Isaiah 42:5-7 Luke 1:76-79 Acts26:16-18)

OUR TARGET: The Community.(Matt.15:28,Gal.2:7).
By these, we mean the pool of lost people that live within driving distance of our church that have made no commitment at all to either Jesus Christ or our church.
It’s also referred to the unchurched people, occasional attendees.

OUR AIMS AND OBJECTIVES
A place where the hurt, the depressed, the confused can fin love, acceptance, help, hope, forgiveness and encouragement.

To build up bridges of truth to all the thousands of residents in Takum through by Bible studies, seminars retreat and a Bible School.(2Cor5:20,John 8:31-32)

To train the individual Christians in carrying out the work of the ministry by helping them discover the gifts and talents that God gave them (2Tim 2:1-2).

To welcome 5000 members into fellowship of our church family loving, learning, laughing and living in harmony together (Heb10:19-25)

Training leaders in church planting and church growth empowering every member for a personal life mission in the world(Eph 2:10)

To own at least one thousand hectare of land on which we will build a world wide headquarters, including worship centre, a prayer tower, holiday camp mission centre and schools. All of these will be designed to the total personal, spiritually, emotionally, physically and socially(II Kings 6:1-7)
Assist in providing essential basic needs to rural mission orphans, widows and refugees in war and famine areas of the world, scholarship and to support national development projects such as rural clinics, water conservation, community agriculture poultry breading and fish farming(Acts9:38).

OUR TENETS OF FAITH
Below are the tenets of our faith that is what we believe and what we stand for.We believed in:
1. The Bible is God’s perfect guide book for living (IITim 3:16; II Pet 1:12;1 Thess. 2:13)

2. God is one yet has existed since from the beginning of time as three distinct and equal person. The Father, the Son and the Holy Spirit(Deut 6:4; IICor13:14;Phil2:6;Heb9:14;1John5:7)

3. Man, his fall and redemption through repentance and faith in our Lord Jesus (Acts 3:19-21; Rom 3:10; Eph 2: 8-9; John3:3-8; II Cor. 5:17, 7:10.

4. Water baptism by immersion as directed by our Lord Jesus Christ(Matt28:19;Rom 6:4;1 Cor. 2:12, Acts8:36-39)
5. Holy Spirit baptism with the evidence of speaking in tongue Acts 2:4; 38-39; 19:1-7; Matt2:11)
6. Regeneration or the new birth is the miracle experience by those who believe that Jesus redeemed them (John 3:3-6; I Pet1:23; II Cor 5:17 ;Eph. 4:24; I Cor6:11)

7. Justification is the state of been restored to Gods infinite favor we are regenerated and as though we had never sinned(John 1:16; Eph3:8; Acts 1:39; Isaiah 53;11-12; Rom8;1-9;51-2;6:11 Zech 1:31; I Cor1:30-31 ITim4:8).

8. Heaven and hell are real places death is the beginning not the end (Isaiah 2:4; 11;9; Matt 16:27; 188-9;19;28; 24:27 ) I Thess 4:14-18 Heb 9:27-29: Rev 14:10-14:19:20)

9. Sanctification and that those who are save most lived holy(Heb12:14,I Pet1:16; IIThess 5:23; II Pet3:18; II Cor3;18;Phil3:12-14 I Cor1:30)

10. Divine healing for both spiritual and physical healing of man (Mk6:56, Ex 15:26, 3John 2:I Pet2:24, Matt 8 16;17)

11. Signs and wonders(mk16:15-20,Isaiah 8:18)
12. The church as the local body of baptized believers and the head of the church is Jesus Christ(Eph 1:21-23)

13. Resurrection of the just and the return of our Lord Jesus Christ (John 14:1-3,Acts1:11, 1Thess4:16-17)

14. God has allowed evil to provide with a choice, God can bring good even out of evil event and God promise Victory over evil to those who choose him(Gen2:17;3:1-24;Rom 3:23;5:12; John3:19;Rev12:7 –9;20:10; ICor 15:56;2:15 I John2:2;I Tim 2:1-4; Rom 8:28-29)

OUR MINISTRY STRATEGY

1. Evangelism Squad (Winning Isaiah 52:7)

a. This squad is assigned the purpose of evangelism. Their target is the community.
b. Their job is to plan, promote and oversee all of the evangelical activities, programmes and mission projects. This is to organize whatever it take to reach our community and our world for Christ(Matt.15:27-28,10:5-6,Gal.2:7)
c. They also identify and register new converts, visitors and following them both physical and by correspondence.
2. Dicipleship Squard: Building Isaiah 62:7)
A. This squad is assigned the purpose of discipleship. Their target is the committed.
B.Their goal is to lead our members to deeper spiritual commitment and help them to develop to spiritual maturity.
C.This squad is responsible for bible training institute and all bible studies or training materials for various groups.
They also produce bible study curriculums and other resources to help believers grow.
3. Dorcas Squad (Sending Acts 9:36)
A.Dorcas Squad is assigned the purpose of congregational care and is responsible for the general care of royal mission, orphans, widows and refugees in war and famine areas of the world.
B.They oversee support groups, wedding, funerals, pastorial care, hospital visitation and to support national designed development projects such as rural clinics, water conservation and community agricultural, poultry breeding and fish farming.
C.They operate the counseling unit of the church and assist in providing essential basic needs to those affected by disaster, economic and political instability.

HOW CAN YOU PARTICIPATE IN THE MINISTRY?

This is to introduce you to the various fellowships, service, groups units to meet your individual needes and to enable you identify where you can use your talents and ability in the ministry.
1. GROUP FELLOWSHIP-
Various fellowships exist in Arrow of Deliverance Ministry. They are:
Victory Sisters fellowship, Youths and singles fellowship, Excellent Family Fellowship and expectant family fellowship. (Hebrew 10:25)
2. SERVICE GROUP
The following activities groups are open to any one who desire to serve:
Sanctuary Keepers, Children Department, Protocol Unit, Ushering time, Decoration Unit,Technocal,Hospital Group, Medical time and Choir.(Ex.23:25)t3.Paryer Force-This is the intercessory end of the ministry whose mission is to birth the multitudes into the kingdom they keep on the prayer line until every soul are positioned to this mission delivered to us.(Isaiah 62:7)
4. Victory Foundation Class. A school for the new converts/discipleship where they are though on the basic of Christianity, It is visual and how to access their inheritance in Christ (Hebrew 6:1-3)
5. Prayer and Financial Support. You can be prayer and financial support of arrow of Deliverance Ministries for project or outreaches.
